Basically put it in pairing mode, search for it on your device, tap to connect and your set. It connects the way every Bluetooth device should. Now, as far as Android devices are concerned this controller connects to them with ease. That is the best iOS game controller in my opinion. For iOS I recommend the "Steelseries Nimbus".
If you really want a game controller for you iOS device stay away from this. I never got it to work on my iPhone 6 plus and I'm a fairly advanced user. The controller has various "modes" one of which is supposed to emulate touch screen function but setting these modes up is almost impossible. This is NOT an MFI certified controller so finding games that support it on the Apple AppStore is hard. Not to mention it only works with "icade" supported games and emulators (which you can't use if you're not jailbreak). It's so complicate d to connect you will get frustrated. If you're planning on using this controller with an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, etc.) Save your time and money. Other than that this is a very well built and designed controller.
It isn't very large so if you like the feel of a full sized controller this isn't one of them. If I really had to find something negative I guess it would be the size. As far as design and build quality I don't have anything negative to warn you about. It looks amazing and those multicolored LED lights around the grips just push it over the edge as far as looks go. It's a modernized version of the old Nintendo entertainment system controller. As many of you have done, I purchased this controller mainly because of looks.
